Dwaraka Is Not A Hero Centric - Arjun Reddy
From a boy next door character in Yevade Subramanyam, Pellichoopulu to a commercial flavored hero role in Dwaraka, there is a big transition in Vijay Devarakonda. However, the young hero explains that he’s enjoying the process of exploring all sort of scripts and Dwaraka is a new learning experience working under a bookworm director MSR.
“I heard Dwaraka, Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy scripts at a time. But Pellichoopulu went into production mode early and later rest of two happened. My role in Dwaraka is completely contrasting to that of soft, urban Prashanth in Pellichoopulu.
It’s a different setup of how a youngster becomes thief for survival and followed by some uncontrolled incidents make him a Godman. This is a complete commercial format.” Vijay says.
“India is a spiritual country and we find Babas in every local town or village. So, Dwaraka connects well with our audience sensitivity. Most importantly, the film needed a budget and huge star cast.
At the same time, this is character driven and not hero centric. There are five to six crucial characters which make Dwaraka riveting,” Vijay adds. Exclusive Vijay Photo Gallery Although Dwaraka was planned for last year November release, due to demonetization it’s pushed to February and the mad rush with many movies in release queue, it is finally locked for March 3rd.
“Fundamental USP of Dwaraka is its tight and unexpected twists in the story. You will find it more enjoyable once you watch the whole theme on big screen.
If you trust Vijay Devarakonda as an artist who picks hatke scripts, Dwaraka will not disappoint you. Chill with your friends and family this weekend with Dwaraka.
